Wine.com ranked the
#1 online wine retailer by Internet Retailer Magazine, 2005.
We've
all seen old-fashioned gift baskets full of hay and cheap
wine, not at Wine.com! We've got something nice for every
budget, and this week
we're
taking it up another level with our new line of Ultra-Premium
Wine Gifts. You’ll find top rated wines from distinguished
labels in our gift baskets and even Godiva chocolates, over
30 to choose from.
Wine Gift Baskets at Wine.com
Tasted by an internal panel of wine
experts & enthusiasts. Many wineries practice sustainable,
organic or biodynamic farming.
No close outs
Wines are from real working wineries-
well known, boutique & family operated. We aren't
like other retailer wine clubs that use virtual wineries
or close outs that you'll never find again.
Regional focus
Wines represent the region from where
they came and the grape varietal characteristics.
We won't send a Pinot Noir that tastes like Syrah.
Rombauer
Vineyards New Releases at Wine.com!Wine.com
is happy to offer you limited amounts of the new releases
from Rombauer. Pricing on these richly flavored, distinctive
and sought after collectible wines from Napa remains extremely
reasonable.
For
the past 30 years, Rombauer has developed a reputation for
full bodied, richly textured wines. This winery helped make
Napa Valley famous, and along with other legendary Napa
wineries such as Robert Mondavi, Grgich Hills, Caymus, Silver
Oak and others, provides a benchmark for the appellation.
winemaker's notes:
Our
2002 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a rich, profound
wine that beautifully balances concentration with finesse.
It has a dark, ruby color and aromas of blackberry jam,
soy sauce, violets and dark chocolate, with hints of cedar
and cinnamon. The first impression in the mouth is one of
smoothness and roundness. The wine offers a seamless, harmonious
progression of fruit, chocolate and black tea tones, leading
to an extremely long finish with supple tannins and echoes
of berry fruit. Properly cellared, it should provide drinking
pleasure until 2027.

Riedel pioneered the practice of tailoring the shape
of a wine glass to the specific characteristics of the
wine it's made to hold. Pleasure is created by a combination
of our five senses: sight, sound, touch, smell and taste,
and Riedel glassware heightens and intensifies all five.
Wine.com offers a wide selection of Riedel wine glasses
and decanters to appeal to all styles, tastes and budgets.
Experience the difference Riedel can make in your wine
enjoyment!
Riedel 'O' Series The
Riedel connoisseur will be surprised to find that this
new glass series has something missing; there is no
stem or base. Riedel 'O' is the new innovative take
on the wine tumbler, the designs of which are based
on the benchmark shapes of the Riedel Vinum. For the
first time in glass history the design parameters such
as shape of tumbler, size and diameter of rim, have
been fine tuned to enhance the world's most important
grape varietals.
Riedel Ouverture
The Riedel Ouverture series are the ideal
all purpose glasses for everyday use. The collection
offers perfectly shaped wine glasses at competitive
prices. The Ouverture series is made from lead free
crystal.
Riedel Wine Series The
Riedel Wine Series was created for customers who feel
that plain stemware on a well laid table is just not
decorative enough. The collection combines a light catching,
decorative stem and Vinum's most popular bowls. Made
from lead free crystal, the Wine Series is both attractive
and affordably priced.
Riedel Vinum Riedel Vinum was the first machine-made
series of glasses in history based exclusively on the
characteristics of grape varietals. Vinum has had a
permanent impact on the globe's wine culture. These
glasses have proved that the pleasures of consuming
wine start with the glass. The Riedel Vinum series is
made from 24% lead crystal.
Riedel
Sommelier
The Riedel Sommeliers is now the wine
glass benchmark and the most successful series of hand-made
glasses in the world. Each glass is meticulously hand-crafted
to showcase the best characteristic of a specific wine,
allowing you to indulgently experience the wine's bouquet,
taste, balance and finish. The Riedel Sommeliers series
is made from 24% lead crystal.
Riedel Decanters Riedel Decanters combine sophistication
and elegance with optimal shapes for aeration. Decanting
old wines, just a few moments before they are served,
helps to ensure that the wines' clarity and brilliance
are not obscured by any deposit that may have developed
over time. Decanting young wines several hours before
they are served gives the wine a chance to bloom and
attain a stage of development that normally requires
years of aging.
